Jason Stone
Professional Background
The entrepreneurial spirit of independent business people inspires me. Throughout my career I have worked for and with innovative and dynamic businesses and people. Whether it was working at a small professional land surveying company, a Montana civil engineering design firm, with a forensic engineering consultant, or my first job ever at a small manufacturing startup small, locally owned businesses have always been my passion. I value the hard work, creativity, and thoughtful, resourceful nature of true entrepreneurs.
While in law school and prior to being admitted to practice law in Washington and Montana, I did free-lance web development and became well versed in issues relating to the internet, e-commerce, privacy, and protecting intellectual property.
After being admitted to practice law in Washington, I worked as a special assignment attorney in K&L Gates’ e-Discovery, Analysis and Technology Group where I gained valuable knowledge and experience in corporate and intellectual property law. It was while working with such a large firm, I realized that applying my unique knowledge base to working one-on-one with small business owners would truly connect my interest in people with my expertise as an attorney.
This realization motivated me to form Stone Law Group in 2009.
